Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Parents today are more involved in their children's education than parents were in the pastWith the development of technologies, education becomes more and more significant, too.  Besides, the methods of educating children are getting more and more complex. Many of such methods assure parents' involvements. There have been heated discussions about whether parents are more involved in children's education today than they used to be.  From my point of view, I consider it to be positive, which means I agree that parents are more involved.Technology is advancing fast so that parents can get to know children's studying conditions in various ways. For example, cellphones make it convenient for teachers to connect children's parents and tell them how their children behave at school. Moreover, with the help of internet, parents can find more resources about better education and buy some online courses for their children. On the contrary, parents in the past don't have cellphones, if they want to learn whether their children perform excellently, they have to visit children's school and teachers, which is very time-consuming and inconvenient. Besides,  since the internet and computer technology has not been so popular in the past, parents don't have the opportunity to find better educational materials online and select them for their children. Apart from the technology,  the status of education has definitely changed because modern society places much more emphasis on education than ever.  In the past, with society poor and underdeveloped, parents spent lots of time cultivating crops or working as employees in plants,  and little time did they have to spend on the children's education. But things have changed fundamentally, parents today have more spare time because the industrial revolution and other technical advancements have transformed the old society into our new developed society. The industry of service has become the main industry and the kind of job has required more specialized knowledge than it used to, which results in the increasing of importance of education. Because of this, parents pay more attention to and get more involved in children's education. They think an excellent education may be a guarantee of  a good job in the future. They believe in that  education is to their children's development what bricks are to a house. It's essential. So, they urge their children to study more, send them to various tutorials and supervise their academic scores. Though parents in the past may have involved in children's education, such as in the way of sending him or her to become a  apprentice to a technician. However, this kind of involvement was just primary and basic. Parents couldn't keep track of the learning conditions all the time for lack of communicative ways.  Education might not be that important for if the child couldn't master the technique, he or she could just come back to do what the parents were doing, such as spinning or growing crops. In conclusion, I think parents are more involved today in their children's education than ever.
