Will the ability of human to think for themselves surly deteriorate because of the increasing relience on technology? The author claimed so for the reason that technology gradually become the daily implement to help us solve problems. However, I disagree to the extent that our thinking ability will not worsen, because not only can technology help us consider some complex ideas, but it is also not adept with some fields like art, philosophy and the like where we have to solve the problem on our own effects.
Admiteddly, I concede that our individual thinking process has inevitably been replaced by technology in some fields like mathematication. As all mathmaticians know, there is a software called MATLAB in our computer system to help numerous scientist compute involuted mathematical equation. Because of its convenience and availability to someone who even did not have calculus couarses, our oringinal fantastic desire to devolop our computing skills is strongly deteriorate. Thus, if our offsprings all abandon the exploration of profound mathematical area due to this highly developed technological outcome, our capacity of solving problem will indispensably deteriorate when some unprecedent computing problems come out.
However, I believe the improvement of technology can not influence our critical consideration in some other fields. Consider, a robot is enlightening a boy who is strongly depressed, like a psycharist. It may seem practical only in some science fictions. A professor from Harvard University once said that the best description of robot is simplemindness. Robot or some software can only solve problems that human can be predicted. They may be confused when confronting mental problems. Becouse of it, our critical thinking will thrive unremittently, while technology is also developing.
Morever, I argue that technology will provide a better situation for us to think more profoundly. In northwest of China, the level of education is not as excellent as the other areas in ancient time. But fortunately, due to the considerable progress in video technoloy, students their can enjoy same education through watching videos now. Thus if we use technology reasonably, we can take great advantage of it.
In conclusion, without technology, we will not have convinient process when we handle a complicated problem and not enjoy the free approaches to knowledge. Thus technology should not take the responsibility to deteriorate our capacity of problem-saving.
