Nowadays,many people can come to study at colleges or univeristies.Some people attend college or university for a high salary career,while others for achieving their dreams.In my opinion,people want to acquire more knowledge,foster social skills and cultivate some values at college or university.
First,attendint college or university can learn knowledge of interest field and do some research for further exploration.For instance,Yu Minhong,the CEO of New Oriental School,graduated from Peking University.When he was studying at university,he made an effort to learn English .Although he was often laughed by his classmates because of his pronociation,he finally established his own company providing services of various English trainings.
Second, attending college or university can foster social skills to meet society's needs better.College and university offer so many extracurricular activities which teach students communication skills,organizing and planning skills ,leadership and so on.For example,by running for the president of student union,students can have a taste of what a political life is like:talk to others,understand their needs,build mutual trust and eventually get their votes.In th process,all the essential qualities and skills needer for a successful political career can be developed and honed.
Finally,attending college or university can acquire the value of persistence.As for me,it is not easy to rank at top rows.What I learn at university is professional,deep knowledge in my field.Therefore,I have to take advantage of time as much as possible to study.There is no doubt that I often encounter difficulties.However,as long as I persist in overcoming these difficulties,I can have a sense of satisfaction and passion for further study.
