To become successful is what most of us are trying to persue, but few of us can make it in the end. Many discussions about how to get success thereby become popular. One way discussed for a lot of times is that we should behave unlike most people if we want to be the extraordinary one.However, as far as the concept of success is concerned, this way does't fit all the cases.
One one hand, if the success is defined as successfully finishing something many people have finished, the better way to get it is to behave like those who have successed. That's because they can provide with efficient and right way. For example, if we want to get high scores in school, we all know that we have to listen carefully in class and finish homework with great effort so that we can understand new knowledge better. Many of us have ever got high score in school, and I believe that must have been own to great efforts in doing homework, a method other good students usually take. If we just comform to this conventional method, we will hardly fail in exams.
However on the other hand, if we confine the word 'successful people' only to those with great fame in history, the way to join them is to behave unlike others. Since great people are usually in a really small number, they must have done something we can't imagine in the scope of our view. For example, they can predict something to own a bright future, which we might easily ignore. Take Bill Gates, the successful man without any dispute, as an example. He dropped out from Harvard at the age of 18, and spend a lot of time programming for a newly coming magine which was not only ugly but also burdensome. I believe even though we knew this machine in that day, few of us would have regarded it as an useful thing, not to mention as a great invention able to change the world. In this case, what Gates did was something we ordinary people would impossibly do. That's an important reason why everyone can not become a Bill Gates in the end.
In conclusion, we can't negate that sometimes it's efficient and useful to act like others so as to get success, but we have to admit that to be an extraodinary person in the world need us to do something which seems unimaginable to others.
