Virtually, all of us are different more or less. And if a person want to be successful, should he or she be more outstanding from the public or just be one regular member of the population? The answer is likely the former.
When someone stands out from the public, he or she would be more striking.  This character is almost the common personality of successful people. The public's attention is something quite powerful. The one who is famous can be herd by great number of audience; and the idea of the person would be spread  more widely and efficiently. The fact is that, when a super star say only some simple words in twitter, there will be a lot of comments or explanations of those. The idea of the star transmit speedily like a spark triggers a bottle of fuel. Unfortunately, if a ordinary person says some critical sentences in twitter, so limited scope the information reached.
Besides, the aliens think different and make different. Admittedly, creation is actually the most important factor of success. The ordinary people doing ordinary things, maybe for merely one particular person it is an special deed, but for the whole society, it is not more but common. And the different invention did by the outstanding person, always impacts the public, affects the behaviors of the population, and might alter the concept of the world of human beings. Steve Jobs, for instance, his iphone had changed the knowledge of a mobile phone when it came to the world. People never thought a phone could without a keyboard before. The iphone is a great invention and it changed the whole portable device industry, also, the way of people's communication. 
Surely, being different would bring some venture, cause someone is hate the dissident. However, if some one desires to be triumph, he or she must has the brave to take the venture and the disadvantages of being different. Therefore, it is not everybody who owns the brave and would like to take the venture. Only different from the world could make the world different.
