I agree with the notion that students should consider their interests and talents rather than the future jobs. Although I concede that jobs are important as they support our lives and give us money to survive, only consider jobs may leave narrow konwledge to students. Moreover, interests and talents is so important in profession field as they bring inspirits to us and make success more accessible.
First, I agree insofar as finding a job is one of the proposes of study, only though working can we show our personal values. Findind a job is not an easy work, we need to prepare for it and take it into accont when choosing a field. After all, peole need money to live and get money from a job is the most reaonable method.
However, only considering the future jobs is unproper, it will makes the horizen of knowledge so narrow that students cannot handle the problems which exceed their profession field. So the students will become the kind of people whose skills are so inhimited. Lacking of ability of dealing with different kinds of problems these students cannot get a satisfied jobs even they choose their study field based on the porpose of geting a job.
Last, taking interests and talents into account when choosing study fields do help students with their future studise and make the progress of study so attractive that they will not tired of it even that field is very difficult. Take AC, a chinese wrinter, for example, she is famous for her imagenation and her novels are so famous that they are translated into six languages. Icorially, however, her primary study field is enthology, she do not like this field, the only reason of her choice is that her father wants her to be a enthologist( at that time, in China, that job do earn lots of money). After three years study, she found writing is what she really like as she already tired of that field, she gave up her study and started to practice writing. Finally, we can read such interesting novels thanks to her decision. From AC's example, we can get the information that interests and talents are the most important factors when choosing future study field. Because we can reach to achievement only in the field which we want to dedicate. Interests give us emergy when we meet difficults and talents gives us confidence in tough work. Just like AC, she likes writing so the practice for her is an interesting career rather than a tough work,her talent gives her confidence as a writer and finally her succeed.
All in all, we should consider the availability of jobs when choosing a study field, but interests and talents are much more important than it. Without interests we cannot continue our study as study itself is really a tough work for the people who do not like it. Futhermore, only consider jobs is so utilitarian and it impede students' development.
