回答: 了解自己,尊重和欣赏别人的观点,可以通过心理学和社会学的学习来达到这个目的。培养一定的审美能力,通过艺术,音乐和文学的课程。
4. 在毕业之后的工作和生活中,是否只有专业知识才是有用的?如果不是,还有哪些知识是有用的?为什么?请举例说明。
回答: 不是。一些其他知识,比如独立、与人沟通交流、团队合作、自学能力、总结归纳能力,独立思考能力。管理知识、为单位设定目标的能力。例:著名建筑设计师Rem Koolhaas成立大都会建筑事务所(Office For Metropolitan Architecture,OMA),R不仅具有出色地建筑设计才能,2000年获得第二十二届普利兹克奖Pritzker Architecture Prize得主,更具有管理和领导能力,沟通能力等,成功带领OMA成为蜚声国际的建筑事务所。

The speaker claims that the educational institutions should dissuade students from studying in the field which they are unlikely to succeed.This statement is specious,impossible to achieve and even harmful for students' future.

The supporters of this claim may hold the viewpoint that the behaviour of educational institutions is aimed to avoid students from wasting their energy and time.Generally speaking,educational institutions could  offer students some necessary instructions,especially when their pursuing takes the wrong path and places jeopardy in others.For instance,if a physics student indulge in devising perpetual motion machines,his/her physics teacher should dissuade the idea and tell him why,avoid him/her from wasting time and energy.

However,it is impossible for any educational institutions that are responsible for students' scholar and career dreams in respect that their dreams seem to be unachievable.First,the speaker? claim rests on an unreasonable assumption that the educational institutions are convinced what students pursued are unachievable.No one could answer the question that whether they could finally succeed or not unless devoting themselves to their dreams.Many things considered as common today were usually viewed as impossible and ridiculous illusions by our ancestor.For example,the electromagnetism theory proposed by James Maxwell was questioned by other contemporary physicists.However,the Maxwell electromagnetism theory withstood most electromagnetism experiments.Today it is an approved and correct theory.

Additionally,if the speaker? advice are put into practise,the results are obvious:strangling dreams and stifling any opportunities for progress.All above is inconsistent with the purpose of education:encouraging and helping students discover the unknown.

Therefore,the most appropriate way for educational institutions is to encourage,instead of dissuading.Moreover,in the process of students' pursuing,educational institutions should offer assistance and instructions timely to help them achieve their goal at the minimum expense.In some way,there is no difference between humans and moths.Both of them are desirable to exploit the unknown and in the process sacrifice is unavoidable.However,if we stop exploiting the light,we have no chance to find where the light is.

In sum,the speaker? intention might be avoiding students from sacrificing their energy and time.In fact,the speaker? advice is not feasible and even harmful.Educational institutions should encourage students to discover the unknown and provide some necessary assistance and instructions timely.
