这个社会所最流行的风气，在人们心中共同承认的某种思想，都可以是这个社会的特征。如现在的中国社会的特征为进步，因为刚刚经历了文化大革命、自然灾害的中国在步入和平安定的年代后需要做的就是休养生息，同时还应加快进步的步伐，争取达到或赶超世界水平，因此像袁隆平、许振超这样能为这些进步带来贡献的人就成了人们心中的偶像。
3. 英雄人物相对于其他人有什么共性和个性？一个社会是如何挑选自己的英雄人物？请结合具体人物或事件举例并简单分析。

共性：他们其实都是拥有平凡人的品质或是他们都有优于平常人的特点
个性：当在不同的环境下，大多数都放弃了自己的一些原则时，这些人还保持的这些原则，而这些原则正是这个环境下最需要人们保持的
如叶问，从古至今，拥有超群功夫的人很多，利用自己的超群的功夫行侠仗义的也很多，但是叶问生活的年代恰是中国被帝国主义侵略的年代，很多就此向强权低头，但是叶问没有，依旧出头捍卫中国人的尊严，因此他才被当时的人和现在的人视为英雄。而他的徒弟李小龙，虽然生在和平的年代因此不需要他用功夫来保护自己和他人，但他突破了传统，融合中西方的武术，并将武术与电影结合，开创了功夫界和电影界的新形式，因而被人们崇拜。

In the claim,it is said that the best way to understand the character of a society is to examine the character of the heroes and role models in the society because they reveal a society's higheast ideals.This claim is partly true in that the character of a society can be reflected by its heroes and role models and it is effective way to examine them,however,it is not the best way.
On the one hand,we cannot deny that heroes and role models represent the characters of a society.Heroes and role models are often who keep characters that most people lose so their behaviors or thought are considered so cherished in people's mind.For example,YeWen,who was grandmaster in praise spring boxing,enjoyed high esteem by people from his era till now.Because China has long standing culture of Kungfu,there has been a great number of people famous for skilled Kungfu.However,YeWen was outstanding because he was born in a special period,when China was violated by imperialism that most people including those with skilled Chinese Martial Art in order to survive and regain power.YeWen maintained his nobility and never gave out.He refused to teach foreign people Kungfu,and used his Kungfu to protect Chinese and esteem.Finally,not only Chinese but those invoder respect him.If he did not live in such circumstance ,he would probably become the same as other who only skilled in Kungfu.Because of China in that time needed such a hero to save its people in danger,he became so respected.
On the other hand,those considered as role models are general whose achievement is unique and preeminent.In such situation,there is no too much relationship with charater of society and role models and heroes.Take the example of a famous disciple of YeWen,Bruce Lee,who is awarded by Times as one of the most valuable idols in 20th century.He broke up the convention,synthesised western and eatern features of Kungfu,and added element of Kungfu into films.His films were so popular among American and Chinese untill now.Evaluating his achievement,it is only because of his skilled Kungfu and he paved a new way to proform Chinese Martial Art.If he was born in anytime,as long as the technology is developed enough ,he will be the same popular.
