本题为老GRE的ISSUE66原题。题目讨论科技对人类影响的话题，题目分为两部分：第一部分陈述了一个大家都接受的事实——“人们越来越多的依赖于靠科技解决问题”；第二部分以这个事实为基础，给出了“依赖于科技必然会降低人类自我思考能力”的判断。题目不难理解，相关事例也有很多，分析时应当注意以下两点：
1、论述中始终要与“人们的自我思考能力”以及“解决问题”相关联，无论是讨论科技的正面作用还是负面作用，都应当以“有利于自我思考”或“有碍于自我思考”为方向。
2、可以静止独立的去对比分析，同时也可以采用动态发展的眼光去分析，影响程度的变化以及新情况的出现都可能会对判断产生影响。

没有已有工具时——创新时。
文学艺术类时。
涉及感情时。
4. 科技能否代替思考能力？如果能，请举例；如果不能，为什么？
回答：
不能。因为科技只能处理已知的事实，而不能探索未知或者无定势的事实。
5. 有哪些原因会导致人类自我思考能力衰退？这些原因有哪些是科技造成的？思考能力的衰退与科技之间存在必然联系么？
回答：
1.没有思考的需求。
2.未经过锻炼。
3.没时间思考。
没有科技造成。科技虽然可以减少已知的需要用脑的活动，如计算，但是未知的需要动脑的活动还是很多的。另外虽然科技导致生活节奏加快从而导致失去思考时间，但是同时也提高了工作效率从而导致有更多思考时间。
所以它们之间不存在必然联系。

Nowadays, science and technology have tremondous developments, which makes people have more comfortable and busy life. In that case, many person feel that science and technology developments made them less intellegent. As the statement claims, when people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the
ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate. However, in my point of view, I disagree what the statement saying. I believe that when using technology to solve problems, our ability of thinking for ourselves would not deteriorate. In opporate, the development of technology could benefit to our ability of thought independently.
Firstly, human's thought could be divided to material thought and spirital thought. When we mentioned material thought, it means thought related to improving human's material life. For example, physics, chemistries, and so forth. On the other hand, spirital thought means those thought that could improve human's spirital life, such as literature, philosophy, music, arts, and so forth. There are two parts of material thought: one part is original, and the other part is derived. The problems technology and science can solve are concentrated on derived part of material thought, which is not a major part of human independent thinking ability.
When proving this conclusion, there are no better examples than computer. All of us know that computers have great functions, after programing them properly, we can easily move huge stones onto a tall building; we can cauculate a complex fomula in one minute; we can search a book in several minutes instead bury ourselves in a mountain of books and forage over and over again. However, we cannot use it do anything new before programing it, nor can we made an original and moving painting with it.
After clarifying this, we can easily see the fact that even we often use technology to solve problems, we can still keep our ability of thinking independently safe. Furthermore, when using techniques, we can improve our capability of thinking for ourselves. That is mainly because that the techniques can make us doing work effectively, which saves much more time for us. Everyone knows that when we have more leisure time, we can think for ourselves much more than before.
I concede that modern technology haste our pace of life in some extent.However, this rapid pace ultimately provide us more leisure time, which makes human have a superior increase in spirital and original thoughts. Thus, we can safely get the conclusion that relying on technologies to solve problems cannot make our ability of thinking for ourselves deteriorate. In opposite, we can think more independently along with the development of technology and science.
