The tradition of working in a office has been challenged by the developing of information technology that more and more people choose to work at home or to work in variable places. Some jobs, such as writer, reporter, designer and other kinds of freelancer has natural feature of not working at a fixed place. Fu Zhen, a freelance writer for instance, spent a year traveling in latin america and wrote a book about her extraordinary experience of that year. I suggest that she can never be able to writer such a wonderful book if she write in a office with only her imagination.
There are more and more companies encourage employees to work at home so that they don’t have to pay huge cost on renting office and other fees on such as electricity, cleaning, management. My company spend 60,000 to 80,000 CNY on such costs every year for every employee which is even more than some workers’ salary. If we can cut off this cost for those who do not have to work in office by using online communication software and online coordinate office services which is much cheap than renting a big office, we can pay employees more salary and bonus that in my opinion is more useful.
As we all know, productivity is very important for work and in the meanwhile, personal will is one of the critical factor of productivity. Working at home also shows great advantages in this  aspect. When I was working at home, or similarly working at the Starbuck near my apartment, I could take a short break when I was tired or out of inspiration and went on my work energetically.
