People without friends are like flowers without sunshine, while people without career plans are like fish without water. However, there is a question which never fails to bother people which is about the reason why people go to college. For better career preparation or new experience like making friends? Some people maintain that it is the career preparation that matters, while others may strongly disagree.
From my personal angle alone, both are prevailing factors which give rise to the choice for teenager to go to colleges, which are of equal importance.
First of all, some students would like to enter universities，for the simple reason that it is colleges which can provide oppotunities to meet new friends. However seperate and individual modern people are, I nerver remain suspicious of the fact the human neings are 'social animals'. We all have this innate character to get to know others and simultaneously enjoy the membership of being in a team.Someone even illustrate Team to be 'together every one achieve more'. It is obvious that social interaction is an important part of college life.
Second, colleges is a mimic society which will enable us to improve and be prepared for future career. Students nowadays choose their major cautiously, for they are fully aware of their future career and want to build a solid foundation during college. For example, I am a student who is majoy in Psychology, which is a subject I love. The reason I sign up for it is that I want to be a psychotherapist, who can help people solve emotional problems, recover from their mental illness, and rebuild their self-confidence. During the process of learning Psychology, I can not only gain knowledge but make my dream come true. In addition, the lesson we learn outside the classroom seems to be of vital importance, such us competition and coperation which will help us form an active attitude towards life.
In conclusion, I am fully convinced that it is not wise to determine the function of college simply owning to single perspects. Numbers of reasons will give rise to the choice of college, major and so on, for college is a paradise where we can meet friends, improve ourselves and make our dream come true.
