The assertion that the deterioration of humans results from the development of technology reveals certain ignorance of the author. In my view, it is extremely hard to create a connection between two things above because we can still cultivate our thinking ability with the existence of high technology.   Admittedly, thanks to the modern technology, we do not need to enhance some certain abilities as we do in the past time, such as calculating ability, memory ability. We human have invented specific machine to work for us, setting humans free from those onerous task. As a result, without using it frequently, our capacities to solve such problems may deteriorate a lot.   However, the advanced technology has never decreased the ability of humans to think for themselves so far. In our daily life, the problem we face can be divided into three parts: persons to things, things to things, persons to persons. It is in the first two parts that we can see the utilization of machine. When in the face of the third kind of problem, for instance, a student have trouble in getting along well with his classmates, machines, at least now, cannot handle them, students are supposed to solve them by ourselves, he should consider what he has ignored when communicating with others, and this is where we use our thinking ability. In this aspect, technology did not deteriorate us.   On the other hand, advanced technologies actually help develop our capacity for independent. Many applications in pc aim to do this job, someone may argue that teenagers often surf the Internet and looking for others’ opinion, which weaken their independent thinking ability. But in fact, only by referring different views can we make our own perfect, thus the action teenagers take also help to sharpen our thinking. In contrast, once we lost assistance of high technologies, will our thinking ability increase? Maybe people have to focus more on material construction rather than elevate culture. Modern technology could make human lives more efficient and relieve people from mundane works, enabling humans to have more time to think and introspect. As a result, the progress of technology is the foundation of the cultivation of human thinking ability, as well as the elevation of culture.   Looking from the macroscopic angle, though technology creates some problems, we human should develop ourselves continually, and make the full use of outer space, including technologies. The deterioration of human thinking comes from the laziness instead of application of technology. Technology can only change the material world, but not the condition of humanity.
