People tend to hold controversial ideas even on such trivial issue as which option, live in cities and live in rural areas, is the best for people to take care of their family. From my perspective, even though it is assertive to claim any of them to being a better one, I still prefer to live in cities.To begin with, it is no doubt that the big cities will be able to provide more advanced facilities and services in almost all the aspects. It is known to all that the big cities would offer a better condition in food, clothes, housing as well as transportation which possess an advantage over rural areas. For example, many large supermarkets like Carrefour are built to fulfill people’s demand of cheaper and healthier food and other quotidian stuff and the food and vegetables sold in the supermarkets are usually fresh and clean, which is good for health. Besides, thanks to the electric fans and air conditioners, people now are living a much more comfortable life with the availability to live cooler in summer and warmer in winter. In addition, the transportation in cities provides people convenience to reach every corner of the city, too.What’s more, living in city, people can not only enjoy the convenience of fundamental demand of subsistence, but can also benefit in some other more profound facets. Children living in cities can enjoy a better education because they can have an access to large amount of information from the internet and books from the library since the internet is prevalent in cities and there are more libraries in cities to meet the need of reading. As for medical care, hospitals in cities have more advanced medical instruments and medicine as well as more professional doctors, so when people get sick, they can acquire a larger guarantee to recover from ailments or survive from a lethal disease.Admittedly, there are also many merits to live in rural areas to take care of family members. The most remarkable benefit to live in rural area is that people can enjoy the beautiful pastoral life and landscape in countryside. Since there is little pollution in rural areas the air is usually fresh and the ground is always replete with vitality. Living in rural areas, people can appreciate the fresh air and gentle breeze in the broaden field which will help to cultivate people’s taste and live more healthily and make people feel energetic and ambitions, which can not be achieved in cities.In conclusion, both living in cities and in rural areas have their own merits and disadvantages. But I would like to live in cities because I would offer my children or others the best life in cities with high standard of living, excellent education and medical system.
