In this rapidly developing country, people try their best to make the country developed. With the process of development, human actions will disturb the wild animals' life which is harmful to them. There are many kinds of animals extinct every year and many of them are dying. Now people try to prevent them from being extincted by taking some actions including establishing sanctuaries. However, some people claim that it is unnecessary to allocate so much efforts on them. They think that if the money is used in other areas, there will be more accomplishments. Though it is costly if we try to protect endangered animal, this kind of idea cannot bare a second thought, for animals are precious resources so that we should spare no efforts to protect them. To begin with, It is natural cycle that a creatures born and die. No one can destroy this law so that in some ways it is nature that some species extinct. However, it is obviously that the rate of species' extinction is increasing these years. The reason why it is like this is probably the existence of human beings. Human activities sometimes destroy the environment they are in so that they cannot get used to it. Before the existence of human, the life of species is determined by natural selection which means if a species cannot adapt to the environment, they may develop into extinction. However, after human activities became to have large influence, it comes to be a factor deciding the lives of species. Many people kill animals in order to get their fur to produce clothes. Also, industries which produce polluted air and water will definitely destroy the environment which animals lives upon. It is not normal for animals to die so quickly. Thus, it is necessary to try best to protect them regardless its costs. For example, in China panda one of the most endangered animals which is under protection. WWF allocates 40 million yuan to the project of protecting pandas from 2010 to 2012. To protect them, there are sanctuary established in the places where they are living in. Also, it is legislated that killing pandas for any purposes is illicit. These measures made many progress these years. From a survey in 1960s, the population of pandas in China is about 1000 and in 2006 the population increased to 1596. With the process of protecting pandas, we are also protecting our environment. Some reasons such as reclaiming wilderness areas and establishing industries do harm to pandas, by setting up sanctuaries, the environment becomes better for us. Besides, If the money and workers will be used in other field such as high-tech industries, it is possibly that they will make profits that will make our society developed. However, imagining if all of species except human dies, how can we human being live in the planet alone. Regarding this, it is of great importance to allocate vast resources on protecting endangered animals. In summary, protecting endangered species is protecting ourselves, we should do what we can to achieve this goal. Only in this way, our society will develop with balance.
