With the development of modern technologies, computers have become a must of everyone's life. Some people claim that computer facilitate our life while others think it just bring more trouble to the world. In my opinion, computer is a big step forward of human history.
First of all, computer make communication considerably easier. The rising of email, MSN, IMS and facebook gives us a variety of choice to contact with others. First, internet gives an access to latest upgrade of friends' information which was impossible before. Nowadays, you can easily acknowledge your friends' news by viewing their page on facebook.com, which has their recent pictures, mood, even news about their personal relationship. Second, computer allows us have a video meeting with others. More and more business rely on the video meeting so they needn't to fly 12 hours to the other hemisphere. And the idea of get a 3 dimensional communication with other just make people really excited.
Furthermore, computers make our life colorful. Edison' bulb lightened human history, Watt's steam engine powered The Industrial Revolution, and the computer entertained the 21st century. With computer and internet, one can search any videos he want to watch on Youtube.com instead of stuck with fixed channels on television. Music and songs are waiting for you in a reasonable price. We don't need to buy a cassette or CD anymore. And computer games are among the greatest inventions to teenagers. So much funs without even leave the screen, who doesn't want it?
Last, computers facilitate business. With the prosperity of international business, computer have become an unseparable part of transaction. Businessmen meet each other online, make deal online, even purchase online. Not only does the computer benefits businessmen but it also benefits regular people who doesn't want to drive a long way to stores. E-bay and Amazon are the biggest supermarket in the world. From a 10 dollars' testbook to tens of thousands of dollars' Porsch, you can buy anything with anyone you want through computer.
Admittedly, some drawbacks do exist, like people rather to surf on internet than exercise ourdoor. But they are negligible compare to all its advanges. The invention of computer was a huge progress and it push our life to a brighter future.
