本句的难点在于对子句的划分。首先该句出现了由“whose”引导的定语从句，但是该定语从句的结束位置比较难判断。因为句中出现了“change”一词，它既可以作动词，也可以做名词，不管是哪一种词性，physical and chemical properties change似乎都是合理的。其实，“change”在这里是动词才是合理的。原因有三： 1、名词A修饰名词B在少数情况下才会将名词A变成复数形式（比如women teachers），一般情况下都是名词A以单数形式出现。 2、如果“change”是名词，那么主语的中心词落在change上，它和can be deposited无法形成合理的搭配。 3、如果“change”是名词，那么整个句子只有一套谓语“can be deposited”，这与whose引导定语从句矛盾。0
