ISSUE83"Government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state, even though these areas are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people"。
Amazon rainforset, deforestation ,destruction of the forest result in the losses of biodiversity and the release of carbon contained within the vegetation, which accelerate the global warming.

A wilderness is an area of land which has not been used to grow crops or had towns and roads built on it.It can be defined as “the most intact, undisturbed wild natural areas left on our planet.”The Wilderness Act specified that these areas are considered important for biodiversity, ecological and geological studies. In addition, wilderness is deeply valued by cultural, spiritual and moral reasons. In my view,it's necessarily to preserve these wilderness,we can still gain the economical benefits on the basis of not destructing the original areas.
First, wilderness is considered important for the survival of some species,it protect the species diversities. In addition ,it also contribute a lot for the ecology and the earth. For example,Amazon rainforest,as the largest tract of tropical rainforest in the Americans, have unparalleled biodiversity. One in ten know species in the world lived in Amazon. What's more, the amazon is the lung of the earth,it absorb the carbon dioxide ,consequently purify the atmosphere. But without fully protection by the Brazil Government, destruction of the forest result in the losses of biodiversity and the release of carbon contained within the vegetation, which accelerate the global warming.
Not only these direct beneficent, such as the biodiversity to keep the balance of the ecological chain, but also some potential benefits. In science field,we can do some research on the evolution of the original nature, vegetation changes, soil and water conservation, geological prospecting, the wilderness provide an important values. What's more, some species may have some potential medical values that we still don't know. In military,as the land is so large and especially difficult to live in as a result of its extremely cold or hot weather or bad earth,we can use it to develop our military weapon and carry out military maneuver,or to promote the development of the aviation industry. In society,it helps to protect ethnic diversities, the cultures and historical values.
However, there did exist some successful development of the wilderness, say, trail of tears. In the middle of nineteen-century ,the Mississippi River valley region was regarded as the first example that changing the wasteland to the fertile land.  A Large number of poor people get lands, promoting the development of the west.It has significant influence on American political and economic life.As the vast western land incorporated into the United States, making the United States becoming a country with a vast and abundant natural resources ; The western development, drive the large-scale railway construction and the flow of immigrants, and to make the United States formed the vast domestic market.
Even though ,these lands providing outstanding opportunities for recreation, such as estates or developing some tourism, but we should bear in mind that these lands cannot be destructed, namely equal emphasis on the development and protection. The wilderness Act,founded in 1964,create the basis of the National Wilderness Preservation System, included the National forest,National Parks and wildlife reserves. In order to sustain the original state of the wilderness , Any such business, driving tourism and some other could damage its land quality building activities have been prohibited.
