With the development of technology, our lifestyle has changed dramatically. The means by which we entertainment, communicate and so on are totally different from the past. However, whether those breakthroughs in technology has improved our interactions with one another or not deserves further analysis.
We have to admit that since the modern era, attractions and allures around us has expanded exponentially. In the past, when we're boring, methods for us to have fun is limited and tepid. In an age without television and computer, reading books and chatting with others might be the most popular ways of entertaining. While today, we have countless ways to entertain ourselves. Actually, the development of technology makes us rely more and more on the convenience it brings, and some of us even become addicted to the entertainment it provides. People are spending longer hours surfing on the Internet or watching TVs; news from every corner of the world could be easily gathered with a single click on the mouse. As a result, we might be more willing to stay at home to enjoy the pleasure brought about by techonologies. Eventually, our interactions with others face by face will ceased to almost nonexistent. Therefore, with the rapid development of modern technology, human interactions with one another have been impeded in a certain extent.
Although it seems that the advanced technology negatively influenced our communications with others, we could not neglect the possible advantages incurred by any means. With the invention of telephones, we are able to talk to each other without actually meeting; the information era has provided us with an extremely faster and convenient means of communication--interactions via the Internet. At present, we could send emails to almost every region of the world, and the transportaion speed exceeds that of the fastest means appeared ever. Taking the advantages of those newly developed technology, we are able to communicate with each other much more efficiently and conveniently. In reality, if we want, we could be able to get into connection with any one we like, regardless of the location and the time. Hence, the development of technology, in a certain sense, is conducive to our interactions with each other.
Like the old saying, "every sword has two edges", technology is no exception. While the development of technology does help us to communicate more efficiently and conveniently with one another, it also renders us to become overly reliant on it, which is obviously detrimental to the mutual interaction between one another.
