There is no doubt that the development of society and economy can influence the way that people live and learn. Moreover, it seems that people are pay more attention to the education, especially for weather or not children should learning a foreign language as soon as they start school. As far as I am concerned, I totally approve that children should not learning a foreign language as soon as they start school。 My arguments are listed as fellow:
 
First of all,  one of the disadvantage of learning a foreign language as soon as children start school is that they will spend too much in learning, thus they will have few time to play with their friends or take exercises, then they will feel frustrated and pressured.  So I always hold the viewpoint that for children, especially as the start school children, playing plays a more important role than learning in the lifetime of children. Taking my little niece as an example, when she was five years old she begin to go to school and start learning English. Each time she talks to me always complaining that English is so dreary and  she feel little happy, because she no longer has enough time playing with her friends.
 
Here comes the second,  children who begin to go to school should not learn a foreign language without generally comprehending their own language, which means that each language should based on knowing their native language. With the idea of foreign culture is the most advanced diffused, people now spend more time in learning foreign culture and language, but ignore their own culture and language.   For instance, more and more child English train classes had been built in the cities, which indicated that parents pay much attention to the education of  foreign language. So nowadays, it is quite urgent for the country education institution to require school offering courses related to the traditional culture , instead of the foreign language when children start school.  
 
Last but not the least, learning a foreign language as soon as children start school is an unreason choice for children, since it is too difficult for a children with an undeveloped thought to absorb so much knowledge.  Had children can not learn a foreign language when they grow up.  And it is hard for me to imagining that a little child without totally understand the native language have to learn a foreign language which is more unfamiliar to him.
 
To sum up, it is not to be advocated that children begain to learn a foreign language even when start school. Not only for they are too little to learn such things but also for the overriding duty of the education institution.
