为了更好地理解题目,不妨把它划分为三个小单元“the effective leader(有效的领导者)”、“others(其他人)”、“part of a decision(决策的一部分)”,不难看出题目要讨论的是一名有效领导者的重要表现是让他人参与到决策中来。解决这个题目的突破点在于:1、了解一个有效的领导者应具备的重要素质;2、参与决策过程的人数多少和领导的有效与否之间的联系。
1. 请结合实际谈谈一个领导者应该具备哪些重要素质?其中,哪些素质决定了他(她)成为一名有效的领导者?
回答: 说服别人的能力。比如在一次讨论中,如果一个人的意见与大家的意见不合,作为一名领导应该能让团对成员接受大家的意见,或者是让大家的方案在合理的范围内与不合者方案优势的融合。让成员有归属感。
2. 请结合实际谈谈制定决策对于领导全局的重要地位是什么?一个科学合理的决策的制定应该考虑哪些因素?
回答: 决策是一个很重要的事件,因为这是一个团队在一段时间内需要执行的一个纲领,也就是milestone。而作为一个好领导,一定要对决策的可行性以及执行效率负责。
3. 让其他人参与到决策中来一定会提高领导的有效性吗?会不会因为参与人数的增加而延长决策的耗时,导致领导有效性的降低?请结合具体事例来简述。
回答: 让其他人参与不一定会提高领导的有效性,因为其他人总是有其他人自己的考虑,做决策的时间也会延长。但是一个重大的决策往往涉及到很多的方面,也许有领导没有考虑到的方面,即使领导的决策是正确的,是符合大家的意愿的,但是如果在做决策时不让团队成员感到这个决策有自己的参与成分的话,团队成员的决策执行效率也不会高。
4. 一名领导者的有效性还表现在其他哪些方面?有没有事例证明即使只有少数人在决策,该领导者仍然是有效力的呢?
回答: 人事决定等决策恐怕只有少数人来决定,因为这里面牵扯的东西太过于复杂。但是这种决策并不是需要经常决策的,往往是公司效益不好的时候才会有裁员的现象。
5. 请结合具体事例来说明共同参与到决策中来对于大家来说会有哪些影响呢?
回答: 大家可以献计献策,每个人的知识范围以及考虑的方向都不同,不能保证决策是制定最快的但是可以保证决策是相对正确的。不会出现太大的盲点

An excellent leader is crucial for a team's triumph. He/She should be a nice person who everyone wants to work with. And it is definite that, the leader of team should try his/her best to let the team members feel that they have contributed to the final decision, since they could be more active, meanwhile, the decision would be faultless.
 The method of decision making directly affects the efficiency of a team. When the decision was made only by the leader or a limited people in the team, others will just passively execute this decision, they would lose their passion. However, if all the members in the team feel that they participate in the process of decision making, they would consider the decision as their own decision. The enthusiasm of executing would be sparked. Thus, the efficiency of execution would be much greater. For instance, actually one of my leaders was a dictator. He always just made his own decisions. We would not protest that even we could easily find out an obvious flaw, since even we objected to the decision the leader would not consider. So we just passively do what the manager what us to do. The process of  projects was very slow, and usually paused.
 Everybody makes errors as we known, so even the leader who is the person at the peak of a team makes errors too. How about the situation that of a whole team, whole team participates in the decision making process. In my opinion, it would be better by reason of every member of the team could decrease the possibility of making errors. They experienced different lives thus they have a different view of the world. Even they could not propose a constructive suggestion, they could readily find the errors in the decision. This may be the meaning of a team, members could share their experience to guarantee the decision is faultless. As for my last company, we usually did this. When we wanted to make a decision, the leader would congregate all of us to a conference room. We could speak out our own perspectives freely. I must acknowledge that, some details I've never minded was suspected by the experienced colleagues, cause they have fallen down on those minute details.
Even though it is a little bit time-consuming when all the members participate in the decision making process. Comprehensively comparing the efficiency, nevertheless, it is worthwhile to do as a brilliant leader.
