When a person complete his study from middle school, he has a choice to study in a college or an university for further education, or to work in modern society directly. People attend college or university for different reasons, and I think the most important reasons are new experiece and preparation for future life.

The obvious reason I want to put out firstly is that people choose to attend university for increased knowledge. In middle school and  primary school, students attain common or basic knowledge about languages, math, art and science, but the level of learning is far from professinal study. On the constraty, in colleges and universities, there are plenty of subjects for students to choose, for a four-year major study, such as biology, chemistry, physics, history, architecture, literature, and so on. Additinal, great persons who are pioneers in front areas both in science and arts, will be invited to college and university to give lectures or talks. And the distinct opportunities could be easily grasped by students who are studying at the collge. Undoubtedly, Attending college or university means access to increased knowledge for understanding the world.

Another significant reason is that people can gain new experiences during their college life. By participating in various university activities, students experience their memorable moment which are precious in their lives. People can attend kinds of student societies or students' union, and organize activities for enrich university life or spare efforts to better students life. Through these experience, people can get close to their universities and become responsible. These new experience not only let people know themselves more clearly, but also provide chances to let them to meet new friends when they do something for same interest. For instance, people spend time together for playing guita, or performing plays, or outdoor activities, they can easily get familar to each other and become friends to support each other.

Finally, colleges and universities are proper places for people's career preparation. By knowledge accumulating in certain subject, people can become more and more professional in their major field so that they have chances to get good jobs in this field. Additional, professional practice will provide a timely training for students before they face society after graduation with jobs that need them start immediately. Furthermore, since various subjects are offered at university, students can learn more about fields that they are interested in, and find out the most one and proper one, instead of only one choice. So, the four-year study at university support people to become proficient in future work and start their career more prepared.

Though some people atten college and university just for certain interest in some subject, or just for fun, there are more important reasons for lots of students to pursue a higher education based on analysis above. For me, a student at college, I aclaim that the college days will be my precious wealth in my life.
