The speaker asserts that the best way to teach is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones.In my view,this statement is too extreme.It overlooks  constructive criticism and sometimes punishment are valuable.

The recommendation that positive actions should be praised is a good advice.According to a psychological study,it is natural and true that all educatees prefer praises for positive actions to critiques and admonishment for negative ones.One one hand,praise for positive actions confirm the rightness of the educatees' behaviours, making them feel honourable.Consequently,they are more likely to continue positive actions to get more praises.In this point of view,positive praises create a well-established active and creative atmosphere,and reinforce the confidence of educatees,thereby encourage them to pursue a higher level.To be specific,for students,appropriate positive feedbacks serve as a motivating force.For employees,appropriately administered praises would enhance the employees' productivity and  loyalty to employers,and also establish a cogent and pleasant working environment.As for ignoring negative actions,I agree that minor peccadilloes can, and in many cases should be neglected.For example,parents should be blame their children for broken vases and some acts.Otherwise,children do not develop a healthy sense of wonder and curiosity. Similarly,teachers should avoid rebuking or punishing students' faulty reasoning, incorrect answers to questions, and so forth.Otherwise,students may be less motivated to learn.And employees ,monitored strictly for any sign of errant behaviours ,are less productive and loyal,more resentful of their supervisor.At the same time,some measure of criticism and critiques,and sometimes punishment ,is appropriate.Parents must not turn a blind eye to their child? behaviour  when their child may risk jeopardizing his/her safety or other children? safety.Teachers should not ignore the students' behaviour that unduly disrupts the learning process.Employers must not permit the employees to harass and undermines the overall productivity in the working place.Silence to  these sorts  of behaviours only serves to sanction them.In sum,the speaker? assertion is too extreme.Both praise and criticism are valuable for children? development,students' education and employees' high productivity and loyalty.Yet both of them must be appropriately administered.Otherwise they might backfire.
