Nowadays, many people go to college or university for many different reasons. From my personal perspective, I think there are some reasons that we should attend college.
First of all, you can get your major classes which you can't take in high school ,and get better career preparation. There are so much knowledge you can not get only through your own effort. Teachers in college can anwer your questions and make you better understand what you learn.
Second, college is the place where you must learn to live independently and communicate with others friendly. When I go to college, it is the first time I left my home and live with other five roomates. It makes me learn how o be independent ,take good care of myself and get along well with my roomates.
Last but not least, attending college can expend our horizon. Listening to lectures which gived by experts may help us develop various interests and find out where our passion lies. We can read books, communicate with teachers, discuss with people of the same age to confirm our life targets and get a better picture of our own lives.
As is metioned above, I think it's necessary and beneficial to attend college.
