Given to the question about the problems of rapid life, most people's first reaction is either the mental stress or the environmental issues. It is true that the fast life brings modern people to a delimma: the inceasing life pace brings more problems than conveniece. I agree the idea that the rapid life brings us more problems than before, even though our life has been radically changed in some aspects.
Admittely, rapid life improves our effiecency, especially in industrial field. In the past, we made productions mainly by hand. Today we rely on the mechines because  the increasing life speed leaves us little time to do the work. People's life has been occupied by many activities and is arranged specificly to every second. Also, the hurried life leads people to spend their time more meaninfully.  We know the importance to hold the chances that pass by because we have short time to think overly before any decision. It is as if that our life has been compacted in to a certain period of time, and we spend every minute meaningfully.
However, things are not always positive. The rapid life pace brings potential danger to us except the benefits. Today, people spend less time making food by themselves because they have no sparing time for cooking. Instead, they turn to fast food. Every day in lunch time, it is not hard to see in a Mcdonald's, people are in line waiting for the food that will be served only within few minutes. The following problems like obisety and the increasing rate of stomache cancer proves that eating fast food brings harm to human's health. However, even knowing the disadvantage of eating fast food, the Mcdonald's consumers continue going to the fast food shop in lunch time because the fast life leaves no time for them to sit down and enjoy a well-cooked meal.
Also, when it come to the enviromental issue, we cannot avoid the topic of air pollution whitch are caused by the fast life speed. Today people like to drive cars to where they want to go. The waste air emitted from vihecles is the major cause of air pollutions in most big cities in the world. However, people seems to have no reason to give up driving their cars fot commuting. In fact, the current life pattern for most city people leaves little time for them on commuting. Driving to work seems to be the best choice because it is a good way to shorten the time on road. In fact, our fast living pace rarely lets us slow down, and thus, increasing the environmental problems witch have been there since the Industrial Revolution. From this point, the increasing living pace does bring us problems which may never exist in the past.
In all, we have to admit that the modern live pattern brings us more problems because of its fast speed, although some problems existed before have been solved. Today human life are just like a  uncontrolled car, going towards fast and putting itself in many hard conditions resulted from the fast speed.
