Interdispline has become a hot topic in scholar research. As a student having a major in computer science, once I joined in a project in which we used computer software to modulate the DNA sequencing in our labs. It is true that some fields has combined each other when they conduct some studies. Thus, I agree that having knoeledge and experience from other field helps advance the study in a certain field.
It is commonly seen that experts from two different fields work together to do some studies. As some knowledge in a certain field is better known than before, we have to come up with new research methods to make a breakthrough. By combining two different fields, researchers can broaden their reasearch methods. For example, in the past, biologists onlyc concern about the DNA sequences in a biological view,  now we often hear that the DNA sequence are now being modeled in mathmatical ways. The researcher use knowledge about probability to calculate how the DNA passed from generation to genration. Also, they use mathmatical methods to determine how to avoid  a disease passing  to the next generation. We have seen that some biological brakthrough cannot be realized without the contribution of the math. Thus, we can say borrowing some knowledge from other fields  can inmprove the methods we use for research.
Also, when it comes to art field, the contribution to arts of the knowledge and experience from other field is more evident. The development of other fields may bring significan changes in art. For instance, without the chemical breakthrough in compunding pigment, today we may not see the pictures with beatiful colors. Without the study of physical features of the air, we cannot come up with the idea of how to preserve the pictures painted long ago Art technology get improved with the development in chemstry. Hence, we can say that knowledge from other fields is indispensible in promoting arts.
Sometimes, the direct evidence of studying a certain topic cannot be found, so we have to turn to other indirect evidence from the study of other fields. For example, astrnomoers cannot find direct evidence of the sun pots activtity, so they may turn to the climated patterns which are mainly studied in geologists. Also, the archeologiest cannot decide the age of a ancient site, so they turn to the phisical properties of the material they found which, however, are the major study of chemical research. From this point, we know that the study in a certain field cannot be independent, and also has to turn to the results from studies in other fields.
However, we have to admit that in some fields, no borrowing knowledge from other field can also make huge accomplishment. Like writing novel, the writer may not have knowledge from physics, biology, but he can also write some good stories. It is true that some fields have their special features, but we still have to realize that most fields cannot be seperated and study alone..
