The aim of a university should be encouraging independent critical thinking and lofty sensitivity. To achieve this goal, Universities require every student to take a variety of courses outside the student's field of study. However, this policy will bring them not only opportunities to study, but also risks. What we focus should be whether our students can benefit from these classes or not. So there are many details should be taken into consideration.   A real excellent citizen should not only be specific in his own fields, but elite with lofty minds and multi-skills. It is fortunate that a university offer students many classes to let them choose what they interested in. And there are manly two advantages for this policy.   First, taking part in courses outside the student’s field of study can make students to become integrated developed. As far as I am concerned, it is difficult for one person to suffer from his life with only one kind of skill. Through the classes offered by universities, a students will be able to handle skills which useful through their entire life. For example, first aid is a very useful skills for everyone to prevent them from the risks. If someone got hurt and bleeding, the method to inhibit bleeding and how to wrap the wound will be essential to get people out of trouble, even save someone’s life. Physics, which teach student methods to have sports is also important for all students. People should know the correct process to shape their body, improve their power and skills. With a more healthy and strong body, one can acquire better preparation to overcome the difficulty in their life.   Second, having various classes not only enlarge the knowledge, but also can inspire them to think with creativity on their fields of study. Nowadays, as the development of science and technology there is a tendency that different fields study are now take advantages from each other in order to create a more specific one. Behavioral Finance, which is an new subject emerged few years ago, combine the phycology, which study human behavior, and many important concept in finance. Through this subject, the expert can involve the study of human behavior with the transaction in securities markets.   However, there are many disadvantages for both students and universities when there are so many classes offer by the school. To students, if a student chooses too many classes in one term, he will be in trouble with his study because the time is limited. Once he focus too much on the classes outside his own field, he will be distracted and his own academic process will be inhibited. What’s worse, if he do not overcome his stress, he will be in a dilemma.   Another trouble that too many classes will cause is that it will burden universities on the distribution of educational resource. The implementation of too many classes means that the governor have make a detailed plan for its education, even hire more teacher for the students. The costs will increase but people will doubt quality of the classes.   In inclusion, although there are many advantages for students to take part in class outside their fields, but the efficacy in practice is not necessarily warrant for the best. Many advises should be give to students to make a full use on it.
