Since the financial crisis of 2008, most company have been curtailing employees after the the nightmare. So there is a growing body of opinion that educational institutions have a responsibility to dissuade students from pursuing fields of study in which they are unlikely to succeed.But in my opinion I don't agree with the claim above.First, it is difficult to define succeed. It is different in different individuals. There is a bit more uncertainty about success. Maybe in the eyes of the students, the success is about the interesting and favor. And in parents' opinion the success is whether the major could bring more money to them. How about the successful major in educational institutions? The hot major? The easy-going major? We never know. So there is few definitely define about the success, how could the educational institutions pursuing?Second, if the student follow their heart to choose a major which is unlikely to succeed in their opinion, will they cannot be succeed in the end? The favor is the best teacher, cited from a Albert Einstein. Students' choice is from their own wish. They must thought for thousands of time before made it. So confidence and ambitious is full in their heart when make the decision. It is better than the choice made by others.Granted, the majors that educational institutions chose sometimes are easy to reach the goal in their opinion and avoid detours to so-called succeed. But in may opinion, if you want to stay real, follow your heart, no matter where the situations is in others' eyes.
