When discussing controversial problems,people have many ways to choose.They can send email to each other, test each other or just have this conversation on the phone.I prefer the former way.
Using telephone will involve personal moods,which might lead to an embarrasing situation.Controversial problems are always lack of definite answers and people at each side of the problem will have enough proper excuses. They are usually unable to convince the other side of people.As an illustration,we can see the debate competition is hard to give a winner because no matter which side really do have justified arguements. And voice full of personal feelings is also part of the debate,aggregating the controwercy between two sides of people.However,the content in the message won't show that. People can take a more tational attitude towards the controversy itself.
Furthermore,using emails are more convenient.Using telephone requires both of the two people to be free at the same time.The controversal problem is annoying enough,and the simultaneous correspondence is making it more annoyed.Using text messages,people can respond to the answer whenever they want.
People also have more space to think about what they have to say about the problem.When discussing via a phone,we will just shout some words out of mouth without hesitation.But wrting is different, we always have to think first.We can see so many people have conflicts just for a few inproper words,such as arguements beween a husband and wife.More rationality and less impulsion will lead to a whole different situation.
Admittedly,using telephone may befefit to deepen the understanding of the problem,but it may cause more trouble than goods.Weighing one method against another one,i still believe it is a better way to use emails or texts.
