a meaningful life is built with happiness just as a house is built with bricks, but a collection of happiness cannot be called a meaningful life any more than a pile of bricks can be called a house. If all of one’s money is spent on travel or vocation, there may be none left to buy food or spend on education. Consider, a plant or animal cannot squander all its energy on growing a big body if none would be left over for reproduction, for this is the surest way to extinction. A wise man, therefore, allocate money to education, qualified food, vacation, and other meaningful aspects.
