As we acquire more knowledge, things do not become more comprehensible, but more complex and mysterious. [Specific Task Instruction: Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.]

ISSUE183"As we acquire more knowledge, things do not become more comprehensible, but more complex and more mysterious"。

Sometimes, as we require more knowledge, things seem become less comprehensible; instead, they would raise more complicated and mysterious questions for us. However, our comprehension towards things should not be divided into two separate aspects--comprehensible and complex; rather, it is the interaction of these two aspects that construct our process of understanding things and exploring their essence and the truth.
Actually, the progress for us to gather facts and knowledge to get the ultimate truth of things is just like a series of connected rooms. Once possess with enough knowledge, we could open a room and have a clear understanding toward the sturcture and facilities in that room--that means things become more comprehensible to us. Yet there is another door in that room, which would lead to a more complecated and mysterious room. To open the second, more profound and abstruse knowledge is required--that means things seems more difficult for us. But as we open one door after another, it would be more closer for us to get to the essence of the knowledge and to the ultimate truth.
On one hand, as our knowledge increased, the scope of our comprehension to things would be wider, therefore, things will looked easier and simpler. Take the location of human physicological function in the brain as an example. In the ancient times, those great psychologist and doctors like Freud and Jung saw this location as a mystery, and they raised several assumptions while at the same time had a continual contention. With the development of scientific technology and the increased knowledge, nowadays scientists could easily and precisely locate those physicological function in the human brain through a series of researches and experiments. Therefore our understanding of the exact part of human brain for our physical function become clear and comprehensible.
On the other hand, although things do become simpler to some extend as we acquire knowledge, they also pose much more abstruse and profound questions for us. A telling example is our understanding towards the stars and moons and the universe. In the old days, while science is not so developed as that of the modern world, the solar eclipse and lunar eclipse respresented an unknown and horrrible power that would bring fortune or catastrophe. After we acquire the knowledge about the universe, it becomes clear to us that the eclipse of sun and moon is simply a phenomena resulted from the movement of sun, moon and earth. While at the same time, as we know more about the universe, it looks more occult and supernatural to us--questions like "what is the black hole?", "is there any other living creatures like us in the univers?", "where is the end of the universe?" come up to us, which would require more studies and researches of it.
In fact, the judgement that our comprehension of things is advantageous and progressive or not should not depend on how "comprehensible" or "complex" the things become for us. This criteria is merely on the superficial level of things. On the contrary, how close we are to the essential part of the things and the ultimate on the process of exploring them should take into account to the judgement.
In conclusion, the increase of knowledge would make things seem more comprehensible for us, while at the same time, as our understanding progressed, we would have more abstruse and profound questions towards things, which would make them looked mysterious and complex for us but would finally bring us to the deeper part of them.
