Nowadays, different universities often have different kinds of teaching methods. Some of them provide many subjects; and the others provide one specialized subject. To me, I think the university providing multi-subjects is better.
Firstly, many subjects which contain different kinds of acknowledge can enlarge our horizon with which we might learn our own major more easily. In college, my major is signal processing which needs puzzled mathematics fundament. Then I took the class named Fast Fourier Transform of other school. It is this class that helps me to understand my major more deeply.
Secondly, the method of other subjects can be transplanted to the work of our major. When I was a college student, once time, I need layout an experiment to test an idea from a paper; but I don't know how to design it. Luckily, I happened to learn a technology to make plan list form a class named Personal Career Plan during that term. With this method, I make a perfect experiment to test the idea and gain a good outcome.
   Lastly, because society needs person with compound knowledge background, the students from the university teaching different subjects would get good job easier. One of my roommates who took many classes in different subjects during the college time has attended a job interval recently. The rivals all come from better university which requires students to take specific subject. But the interviewer finally chose my roommate because of his complex background.
Although there are someone insisted that the person with the educational background of single subject may go deeply in his or her major. In my opinion, however, the person with compound educational background and cross-acknowledge will be more suitable to the modern society. So I prefer that modern university should provide classes of different kinds of subjects to all of students.
