The issue of whether computers made our lives more convennient arouses contrevosy among people with different backgrounds and preferences. Some people think that computers are making people's lives easier and easier. Other people claims computers decrease the quality of our lives a lot. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the first and refute the latter. I will address my evidence to substantiate my idea.
In the first place, computers make our communication more convinient and costless. We seldom write letters to each other after Email is introduced. Now, even the email is old fasioned, we preferred instant messager tool much better. With facebook, we follow each other, contact with each and even make new friends on it. To cite a example, when I was in colledge, my girfriend was abroad to make the exchange program. During that two months, we could make vedio chat on real time and it made the communication so convinient. I could not image how hard it would be if there is no computer and we had to write letters to get intouched. Computers shorten the distance between us and make the earth flat.
Furthermore, with computers, we could get access to information more quickly. When I was a child, my farther read newspapers to know about the world and news is usually updated on daily basis. But, we could know very news on real time on internet. The computer science is so developed that it could automatically filter the news and push the news you need most. The computer help us know the world more efficiently and effectively.
Addinitionally, computers technology make our work and study easier. There are so many softerware to improve our productivity. We could use Photoshop to make the picture better in a second, we could have the solution immediately with the help of mathematically software and we can even ask the computers to make the scheduel for us. These softwares are so helpful that make lives revolutionaory changing.
Admittedly, some research has shown that people get less and less face-to-face now. Sometimes when we are in office, we chat on the MSN with each other and do not even say a word to each other for a long time. Computers are so convinient that people are getting lazy. We should control the computers and not controled by computers.
In sum. as reasons aforeasoned, I stand for the conclusion that the computers make our lives much more convinient.
