Generally speaking, I agrees with the author's claim that How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. As we are all informed, the society is a large group consists of all kinds of people and diverse things and the corelation between each of them. The basis of a sciety is the human. And our children is just the master of the future society. Their evey ideas or behaviors today may largely influenced\ the whole world some day.
Unluckily, however, no one can anticipate what the society will turn to be tens of years later or the extent to which the science or economics can develop into. let alone know how to raise our children to help bring about a better society. At the same, the generation gaps often hinder us from getting to know the childrens' minds. Usually, they have their unique ways to live the life, to deals with various people. They have their own merits and ideals to pursuit that we are even unable to lend a hand.
Although no one knows how to train the childern to better adapt the future society, however, we can give our children the lessons of principles and values of life by our own actions that can have an significant impact on the forming of their own sense of worth and life phylosophy and these will instruct them how to serve the society later. These principles and values may include: courage, integrity, honest and persistence. Consider all the presidents of the United States history. Few of their parents had thought or ever tried to train them to be an excellent leader since they born. But their brillient prospect must have some relations with their parents' guidance in their childhood or adolescence. In addition, all though no one can predict the future science or technology, teachers can still teach students the fundamental knowleadges and the learning methods to enhance the students' logical minds.
As far as we are infered, we all know that it is one's ability and character is influenced by both the outside circumstace and the self comprehension.We needn't to worry about if the children would better bring out the future society. What we just need to do now is just to instruct him to be an independent individual with justice, As for the other matters, just let nature takes its course.
