Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Movies and television have more negative effects than positive effects on the way young people behave.Nowadays, as the technology advances rapidly, the industry of making movies and TV series are thriving out of imagination. Their impacts on young people's behaviors have aroused heated discussion. Whether movies and television have more negative effects than positive effects on the way young people behave remains controversial. But from my point of view, I am strongly supportive of the statement that films and TV programmes are more harmful for the conduct of the young.First of all,  there are many violent scenes occurring in the plot of movies and TV shows, which are easy to mimic. Young people are prone to be affected by the behaviors of characters on TV or in movies. However, the governmental supervision could not cover all the shows, resulting in the difference of quality of movies and TV shows. It is  the bad-quality programmes that influence young people adversely. Take my former classmate, John, for example. He watched TV every day and often went to the cinema. What he liked most was the shows of crimes.  He enjoyed watching various criminal methods and the fight between policemen and criminals. As time went by, he became a violent person, and were easy to shout at and bully others just like what the criminals did in the TV shows. How terrible it was! This even affected our friendship since I was frighted by his changeable and angry tempers.What's more, more movies and TV programmes mean more time indulging in recreational and fictional world, which causes lots of social problems, such as lack of communication with friends and families and avoidance of responsibilities in real world. It is much easy for young people to seek the sense of fulfillment in movies and TV shows by imaging and pretending to be the imaginary protagonist, thus affecting the real character in the real society and community. For example, I was a coach potato when in high school. I was thinking about becoming the hero in the movies and TV shows all day long so I couldn't focus on my studies. I didn't have too much time to talk to my families and friends. The close relationship seemed to fade. However, I recognized my mistake and finally corrected it. It took about 2 months to recover my former academic performance and my relation with surrounding people.Though movies and TV may have some advantages of making us happy, releasing pressure or providing some topics for chatting, the disadvantages talked above dwarf the good points. In conclusion, I hold form that the negative effects of TV and movies on young people's behaviors are more than their positive influences.
