Recently, there has been a debate on wether people should follow
the regular social regulations or follow there own hearts. Some people
hold the opinion that it is the forces from outside, rather than the inner
force, that determine people's behavior. In contrust, some people believe that
people's activitey sould be only directed by their own minds. As far as I am concerned, I believe that people's activities are
restricted under different kinds of regulations, which are not made by
themselves.
The society people live in today is full of different focres, rules, and regulations, no matter in which country people live. People can not ignore these forces from the outside world. For example , the students have to obey the rules of their school. A college student will not receive his or her degree without finishing the requried courses and obtaining enough credits. In certain majors, although students have the right to choose which class they would like to take, they have to take the compulsory class whatever they like or not. Not only the students, everyone in the society has to behave under the restrictions of their fields: workers in the factory are restricted manufacturing standards of production; doctors in the hospital give priscriptions under the restriction of the medicine; drivers must drive under the guide of policeman and traffic regulations.
If one society lack of basic forces and laws to control people's behavior, the society will fall into disordered. For example, in the ten years from 1960 to 1970, China was enduring the culture reverlution. At that time, college students could not learn knowledges since the school regulations were abondoned. In contrust, students were fighting with the teachers who were treated as capitalists. As a result, a large number good teachers suffered great hurt at that time. Moreover, the young people learned nothing at school and their career development was negtively affected after the culture reverlution.
Acturally , people have been influced from the time they were born. People's behavior is determined by multiple forces which can not be decided by themselves. For example, the enviroment in which one person grows up is determined by his or her family, nationality, enthnic culture, and many other factors. Just like people can not choose their parents, they can hardly change the overall enviroment the live in. If people don't care about the outside world and concentrate to much to themselves, it is likely that they will lack of the respectation cooperation among the people.
Although certain forces that come from one's herat will help that person to achieve his or her goal more easily, such as one's self-confidence. At the same time, people have to be guided by the laws and rules in the society.To sum up, the world people live in is full of regulations and connections. One single person can not survive in an absence of restriction.
