A good boss is imperative(必要的) to a successful workplace.The best bosses are serious, creative and flexible. If a boss lacks any of these qualities, problems are certain to arise in the workplace.While humor and kindness are great characteristic for boss to have, work is a serious problems, and must be approached with a serious altitude. He or she must set down rules, and force them. And also personally adhere(坚持) to them. If the boss comes in late and leave earlier than expected, or spend whole day joking with co-workers, then the employees will neither respect nor work hard for him.  A boss must be able to keep her or his employees to work hard and make less mistakes.Especially when signing a contract, serious bosses will check the details several times to assure contract's validity. Thus he or she will win the credit from clients and employees.A boss must has a serious and professional attitude that set an example for all of the employees in the work place.To confront countless problem that arise everyday in the workplace , a boss must be extremely flexible. If a client needs the company to meet the deadline earlier than expected, the boss must find ways to motivate the employees to work faster and harder. A flexible boss may spend a small amount of money and treat everyone to dinner at the office to encourage employees to stay late. In this way, the company might meet the deadline and preserve quality. And another case, while needing to set serious, he or she must also recognize that at times rules need to be bent or broken. For instance a boss should strictly enforce attendance policies in the workplace. but if an employee with a good attendance record needs to take a day off for personal reasons, the boss should let him or her do it. Lastly, good bosses are unselfish. They tend to share profits with employees. Whenever employees do the job overtime, they will get payment from boss. And at the great economic time, boss will increase employees' salary to keep employees morale(士气，斗志) high. If employees feel content of his benefits, employees’ loyalty to the company can be strengthened and they will be happy and productive in the workplace.
