The speaker asserts that the depth of knowledge to be gained from books is richer and broader than what can be learned from direct experience.I agree that reading numerous books can make a person educated and thoughtful.However it will be unjustifiable if we put it too much importance in reading books make much depth than experience.Actually,what we learn from direct experience is impressive and vivid for us to absorb and get.We usually learn knowledge from books,then through experience to strengthen,then wo retrospect things we go through and sum up experience,finally re-read the book.In such a prosessor,we make the knowledge deeper.
At first,we learn things from books.For example,we can read The 60 Golden Rules In His Life knowing that we should not get in the standard effect which have a short story to illustrate it:A boy came to a police chief saying that your father and my father got fight,then an old man beside ask the police office who was the child.The police office said that it was my son.Here comes the question what is the relationship between the boy and the "2" fathers.There is a survey conducted by certain professor about the answers of the story result in only 2 people of 100 respondents is right who are both children.
