if i received a gift of money which is enough to buy either a piece of jewelry i like or tickets to a concert i want to attend, i would like to have another choice.in my spare time, i like reading books. so if gotten some money, i would pay for some of my favorite books, instead.
first of all, gaining a jewllery that i have been looking forward to for a long time is likely to bring me with pleasure, which is always a result of accomplishment of bringing your expectation into reality.but the enjoyment is temporary. after some days' novelty, i would quikly lose my interest in jewllery,as a consequence,it could suffer an eclipse.
as for a ticket for a concert,though music can make me relaxed and enjoy myself, the concert often does not last long,which means the money is not made the best. what is more, there ought to be crowded with people, which makes me feel uncomfortable,anyway.
another reason why i prefer to use the money to buy some favorite books is that knowledge is power. reading books can not only broaden my eyes ,but also provides for me great content when i am travelling in the different cultural environment. furthermore, reading contributes to a beteer value system and wider horizon.that is to say, reading can teach me how to behave myself,on the other hand, it equip me with knowledge.
above all, if i got a gift of money, i would rather buy lots of books than jewllery as well as a ticket for concert,for i prefer mental content rather then simple material joy.
