  We've all read a lot of popular books discussing qualities a great leader needs to keep. Among various of  qualities refered, admitting more people into the process of decision making is the most controversial one. As far as I'm concered, to let more ideas take part in a decision making is just like a coin with two sides, both of them can make sense, and that depends on different cases.
 Admittedly, to make more people involved in a decision making has many advantages. First of all, a leader, no matter how far-sighted he is, have limits to consider all aspect of a problem. And more people means more active minds which can offer a lot more totally different views for a problem. Compared to making a decision by thinking deeply alone, to consult with others can be a better and more efficient choice. After all, fighting alone is as much of a thankless task as is working without electronic devices in modern life. Secondly, a successful leader is always good at inspiring his group. And it can be a great method to light a group's passion to make them involved in the process of making a decision. 
 However,  In some cases it's not a wise method to let everybody in a group take part in making a decision. That't because not all the mainstream ideas are the best one. For instance, Switzerland had ever held a nationwide vote to make a decision of forbidding from building up any mosques there. As a terrible result, many Moslem countries strongly protested to this method, which had expressed a disrespect to them. This terrible dicision involved Switzerland to an unnecessary international criticism. Another instance can be best provided by Steve Jobs, the talented leader of Apple company. When he had just returned to Apple, the whole enterprise was landed in an awkward predicament.Then he decided to add more artistic matters to their new product, iMac, which was denied by most of the Apple engineers who even came up with up to thirty-eight reasons for the impossibility of accomplishing this idea. But Jobs insisted his decision and told them that he was the leader and he believed it can be finished. As we can see now, Steve was right and he has created a new age for Apple.
 In conclusion, whether a decision needs many people to get involved in depends on cases. And the most important quality a great leader have to keep is being good at dealing with different situations and putting a group together tightly.
