本题为老GRE的ISSUE66原题。题目讨论科技对人类影响的话题，题目分为两部分：第一部分陈述了一个大家都接受的事实——“人们越来越多的依赖于靠科技解决问题”；第二部分以这个事实为基础，给出了“依赖于科技必然会降低人类自我思考能力”的判断。题目不难理解，相关事例也有很多，分析时应当注意以下两点：
1、论述中始终要与“人们的自我思考能力”以及“解决问题”相关联，无论是讨论科技的正面作用还是负面作用，都应当以“有利于自我思考”或“有碍于自我思考”为方向。
2、可以静止独立的去对比分析，同时也可以采用动态发展的眼光去分析，影响程度的变化以及新情况的出现都可能会对判断产生影响。

Nowaday,with the development of technology,there is hot discuss on whether people's ability of thinking independently will decrease because they over rely on technology to solve problems they meet.In my view,I believe that people's dependence on technology will not lead to the degeneration of their independence thinking.
In the first place,it is because of human's critical thinking and the aim of solving problems that technology comes out.We develop tools to make our lives easier and better,so that we can rely on these tools.We all know that Thomas Alva Edison,who created more than a thousand inventions.One of his greatest inventions,electric light,reached its success through countless failure.Edison tried millions of materials to solve the problem that its filament was not suitable.Finally,a perfect electric light was created and all the offsprings get benefit from this technology.
In the second place,technology is not perfect now,it needs people's wisdom to improve its function,especially when it cannot meet people's increasing demand.Take the instance of the electric light,which is considered by people in Edison's era as perfect and flawless,are now improved by scientists to extend its life-span.In addition,the anti-virus softwares we rely to protect out computers should be upgraded timely,otherwise,our computers will face the danger of various virus.So,when people rely on technology,they never stop checking it and improve its function.
Last but not least,not all people can exert technology easily,only people with skills and intelligence can control high-technical mechines.Like astronauts,whose job is to use advanced technology to explore the myth of universe,must equip with adequent knowledge and physical fitness.Only when he can master the impenetrable knowledge behind the mechine he uses can he be qualified.So,people's dependence on technology requires their critical thinking.
However,we cannot deny that some of our ability is deteriorating,such as calculating,because we overdepend on calculator.Although it is true ,this kind of ability does no harm to our intelligence.From what has been discussed above,we may safely come to the conclusion that the advantages of technology far outweigh its disadvantages and our ability of independent thinking will be developed instead of deteriorating.
