ISSUE14"It is necessary for everyone to read poetry, novels, mythology and other types of imaginative literature"。

In order to become well-rounded individuals, all college students should be required to take courses in which they read poetry, novels, mythology, and other types of imaginative literature
Requiring students to take courses to read imaginative literature would help students be weiil-round, but considering the imaginative literature not enough for students to be well-round, maybe other courses should also be opened to students to develop comprehensively.  Meanwhile, since students' have different learning tasks, it is not relastic to require all students to spend time on reading imaginative literature.

Of course, reading imaginative literaure have many advantages for students.  Imaginative literature as a different kind of literature ebraces imagination, which could provide students a new world.  Reading these books, could help students cultivate a spirt of innovation and fighting against tradition, which is important for the students to invent some new things and jump out of the reality's limitation.   If without the imaginative literature in students' world, they would only read the books that deprict the reality, then would be fetted in th reality without the energy to change or thoughts to create.  Since creating is a important aspect for people to be a well-round, the univeristies should give the students the chance to realize the imaginative literaturem and induct them to open their mind, to invent.

However, does being innovative mean being well-round for a students?  Perhaps not.  Well-roundness means a person has to have many characters, such as independence, intrepidness, confidence and owning good major skills.  Having the ability to imagine do help students be well-round, but this is just a samml factor for people.  If the people only could imagine another world, it would just a dream and would never come true without people's indenpendent, intrepid working.  In order to make students be well-round, the colleges have to offer mre different courses to students, and only imganitive literaure is not enough.

What is more, students enter the colleges certainly want to develop themselves, but they more likely to chase a happy furture.  Though being well-round woud help them easily get a convenient life, is the colloege provide the enough time for their being well-round?  Since the time students stay at colleges is too short to make any sense, they have to devote to their own major field without any more time to take courses like imaginative courses.  Perhaps, the wenke students who have a relative relax tasks could have time learning the imaginative literature; the students who learn the science have to spend their time in heavy courses and labs, there is not enough time for them to learn this kind of course.  So in the short college life, the college should choose a more relastic ways for their students, maybe help them with their futher job hunting.

The college should open the courses like imaginative literature which would help students be well-round,  But they also have to consider the students' relastic conditoion, so they should not require the students to take the courses, just provding for the students who could reconcil these courses.
