The pace of life would be slower. More difficult to ger information. Waste more material? I'm not sure. Just like the world before 1956. Communication among people would also become less. Globalization won't be so fast.

极大地方便了人们的生活，同时也使生活节奏加快，压力更大。

After 1956, in which year computer was invented in University of Pennsylvania, the United States, this new technology developed in a speed beyond our imagination. Today, computers have already invaded every part of our life-working, studying, shopping, entertaining, and communicating. As long as you live in our modern society, you could never escape from computer, or internet.
Though computer is a necessity for our daily life, bringing us conveniency, more and more people started realizing computers are taking their peaceful time away.
It is impossible to get rid of computer from our daily life. Imagine engineers have to draw scenario hy hands, imagine you have to wait 1 month for your mail from europe, imagine an old-fashioned library, in which you need to find a book half an hour before you finally read it. Probably exactly because of the conveniency that computer brought us, we live in a faster way.
Changes not only happened in the speed of life, but also in the social mentality. What we can't ignore here is the internet developed based on computers. The whole world now is under the control of internet, it makes the big world a small earth village, which makes you easily connect to other countries. We can get information from every corner of the world only if we want, as a result, we spend less time on one single field. Culture, knowledge, arts are incapacitated have a trend of "fast food".
On the other hand, we have to deal with much more affairs compared to the lives decades ago. One should read your email inbox every day and reply. And as boss's mail can reach workers anywhere, they may have to work during holidays-of course work on the computers.
Then, if computer has so many disadvantages, should we give up using it in daily life? Absolutely no. Global financial system, international enterprises, science researches nowadays are all based on technology of computers. Without them, the whole world would suddenly stuck into chaos and crisis, even worse than a real war.
As a conclusion, let's go back to our daily life. Although I'm stressful about computer-it urges me to work faster and faster, I simply can't live in a world without computer. Thinking about its contribution towards modern society, our new lifestyle with computer and internet is going to be more strengthened. Get used to the fast paces and take advantages of it may be the most rational way.
