The surest path to success for any enterprise is revitalization through new leadership"。题目的论述默认了一个前提,即在五年内,领导者会让所在的单位缺乏活力。因此,你以从几个方面来进行思考:一是造成事业缺乏生机和活力的原因有哪些,二是通过更换领导是否一定会给事业注入新的活力,三是有哪些方法会给事业带来新的变革和活力,四是更换领导者在哪些行业会带来新的活力。这个题目重点是论述领导者和一项事业是否具有活力之间的关系,不要纠结于类似“五年”这样的数据中,当然,也可以就“五年”是否会让一个单位失去活力,而更换领导是否可以解决来发表看法。
1. 描述一个曾经很辉煌,而后来失去了活力的机构(企业,政府等),并分析它失去活力的原因。这些原因是否与领导者有关系?
回答: k-mart的破产。1979年,K-mart的销售额突破了10亿美元,1981年K-mart的店铺总数超过2000家,覆盖了全美50多个州,这些显赫战绩让k-mart的leaders们失去了理智,k-mart做出了很多错误的决定(比如盲目的扩张)直到1999年Fleming companies拒绝向K-mart供应货物因为K-mart欠他们很多贷款,无力支付Fleming。这个原因明显与领导者有关。如果当初实行5年轮换的政策,新的领导作为之前的局外人,可能已经把很多错误的政策看的一清二楚,有利于避免破产的出现。
2. 导致事业失去活力的原因有哪些?哪些原因跟领导者有关系?有什么关系?请举例说明。
回答: 1.对员工的政策。(new leader可能会改变对员工的政策比如福利政策,会刺激员工的工作尽头) 2.长时间在领导位置的情况下,领导的思维方式以及领导团队的方式会比较单一化
3. 更换新的领导会给事业发展带来什么好处和什么弊端?在一定时间内更换领导对哪些行业更有好处?请举例说明。
回答: 换leader的好处: 1.不会发生集权,独裁,会使企业继续发展,避免重演因集权,独裁而企业倒闭的杯具。 2.新的思维方式会使之前的leader薄弱的地方变得牢固。 不换leader的坏处: 5年对于一个leader来说已经身心很疲惫,这样的状态不适合继续领导公司奋战
4. 对一个领导者的领导水平的评判应该考虑哪些因素?是否能因为企业失去了活力就让他/她下台?请举例说明。

In many fields, leaders are let to step down and give his position to new leaders after a periods of time. For example, the president in a country, the CEO in a company, a dean in a school. New leader can give the enterprises new idea, new method and can also bring new vogors into the company. 
In the history, we can see many tragedy taken place because of a long-time reign. Many leaders are fighting for the agression or serving for people at first, but after a long-time reign they become more and more sefish and will act more strategy for themseves. This resulted in centralization especially in politics. For example, Stalin. Stalin was fighting against agression for Soviet people. After some time, he began his personality cult and he also change art on behalf of revolution. These, actually lead Soviet to an end quickly. 
In addition to, the changing of leaders can alter the defect of the previous leader. Because, the new leader as a bystander before can find the previous leader's defect to make up. This will surely be good to the company. 
But be sure to watch out doom loop proposed by the Collins. He said that when some companies were getting into trouble , the expedient can be the best way. So the board of directors change the CEO frequently, to look for the best method which can solve the present problem. Kmart is one of the examples. because of the doom loop, they came to the end of bunkrupt.
