在大学中我得到最有用的就是自学能力和独立生活能力。大学学习不同于中学，老师只是起引导性作用，如何培养自制力、合理安排安排时间和高效率学习关键在于自己。在不断摸索中我学会了自学。同时，大学是我离开父母独立生活的第一个阶段，我得到了如何与陌生人打交道，如何与同学融洽相处，如何更好地关心他人，等等。而这些事情以前都是由父母交给我们做法。

我很多朋友都在上大学。和没上大学的同学相比，他们在有更丰富的知识、更高的能力和更成熟的处事方法。大学像一所图书馆，不只有读不尽的书来扩充知识，更让我们亲自实践书本中的知识，让我们与不同的人相处，践行书本中的经验。如果不上大学，知识和眼界就会欠缺一个较高的层次。

中国的大学教育依旧过于注重书本知识而缺乏对学生能力的培养。虽然加入诸如志愿工作、社团工作等活动，但评定学生的主要方法依旧是考试成绩。我认为给学生布置有创新性和开放性的日常作业并把它们当做评价学生标准的很重要部分，再加上期末试卷类型的考试，可以更好锻炼学生能力。

At college, when students choose to learn the same major, it probably means they have the same ambition. As a result, they are willing to make friends with each other natually through group identification. Whenever you get upset or stuck, true friends will help you go out of trouble. The well-known example, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who invented the PageRank technology, the basis for google.com, were classmates at Stanford. In sum, friends at the university can help us on both emotinoal problems and career.
Admiitedly, in order to strive for a bright future, vaious means are accessible to make us more competitive. However, college or university is like a beacon lighting up the way. The longing for obtaining advanced knowledge, getting praparation for future job and making more friends with the same ambition motivates people to go to college or university.
