本题改编自老GRE的ISSUE212"If a goal is worthy, then any means taken to attain it is justifiable"。题目讨论实现目标的途径方法合理性的问题，题目认为为了实现值得的目标，任何方式都是合理的。大多数人看到这种极端判断题目一般都会采用反对题目观点的思路，通过列举“通过任何方式”可能的危害和反例去来展开自己的论证；如果选择赞成题目观点，则需要论述这种判断的合理性，并且通过论点组织回避掉各种潜在的危害。对于ISSUE，文章观点没有对错好坏之分，论证清晰完整即可。需要注意的是题目涉及话题很抽象，所以要通过具体事例和分析将论证做好，切记不要在文章中只是喊口号说空话，要言之有物。

1. 判断一个目标是否值得都应当从哪些方面考虑？请举例并简述。
回答：
首先是是不是符合法律，符合国家的利益，符合社会发展需要和个人的发展需要。 (1)whether or not it is benefitial of indevidual development(benefit for one's self-actualization, not simply mean for the wealth and reputation.Different people have dinstinct definition for their own value. A housewife in a happy family may can a dream for a girl but a nightmare for another.) (2) good for the social development.(Some goals will make a few individuals to sacrafice themselve to get a bigger profit for the whole. For instance, the forerunners in the revolutionary) (3)to resolve the immediate serious problem.(famine, unemployment)(4)to resolve the problem which have a long-term effect.(protect environment)
2. 请结合某一具体情况和目标（比如：在学校考试得高分、在运动场上获得金牌等），尽可能全面的列举可以采用的各种方式。这些方式哪些是正规合理的，哪些不是？
回答：
比如说在运动场上获得金牌，运动员可能需要从小就开始做准备，接受系统的训练，参加各种各样的比赛积累经验，通过使用一些比赛允许的高科技产品提高自己的发挥的水平和受伤后恢复的速度和效果。例子：游泳运动中的鲨鱼皮泳衣。但是也有一些不好的，比如说，使用兴奋剂，在比赛中利用规则故意放水，以利用规则避开强大的对手。例子：中国羽毛球。加强训练，改进训练方法，采用先进advance的训练辅助设备training auxiliary equipment（球鞋），调整心态和身体到最佳状态adjust the mind and body to the best state，提前研究对手的战术 to study the opponents' tactics in advance；贿赂裁判 bribe the referees，服用兴奋剂provocative等违禁药品 illegal drugs
3. 使用不合理方式取得成功的同时会有哪些潜在危害或损失？请举例并简述。（可以从对自己、对他人、直接影响、间接影响、短期影响、长远影响等角度考虑）
回答：
以不合理的方式获得了成功，对自己而言获得成功并不能说明自己的实力，仅仅满足了自己的虚荣心。形成思维定势，对自己的价值观产生影响。take unfair means habitually，满足自己的虚荣心 meet their own vanity，误以为自己很厉害，骄傲不进取，承受巨大心里压力，害怕被揭穿或被指责，信誉下降，对个人的价值取向产生不良影响have a negative impact on one's value orientation。如果不正当手段被揭发后，对自己声誉和前途的影响会更大。而对于别人来说，由于自己使用了不正当的手段获得了一些东西，别人必然会相应减少了一些东西，对于像竞技体育这样的事情来说，可能就是巨大的遗憾和损失。Others: damage their life/less credit on others, laws and social ethics/follow the same way to revenge. 回答：
中国的社会发展，为了gdp不惜一切代价，污染环境，不合理利用资源，为了挣钱，屡屡爆出food scandal。同时还有aristory的权利不能得到闲置，公民权利收到侵犯，人权问题不能解决。诸如薄熙来这样的丑闻事件屡屡爆出,被时代周刊称作是the people's republic of scandal.
