The issue of whether working independtly or as a team is more effective arouses much controversy among people with different perspectives and backgrounds. Some people believe that woking independently could produce more. On the other hand, people claim that teamwork is first priority to a group of people. As far as I am concerned, I will refute the former and accept the latter. In the following discussion, I would like to address some evidence to substantiate my point of view.
In the first place, in this era of rapid social and technoligical changes, the work is always a complicated system and require mutiple sophiscated skills . Take a computer science course project for example, it comprimises of programming language skill, interface design tools, algorithm foundation and even the presentation skills to get a satisfactory grading. The teamwork is too important to igncore as few people could know every subject well and make it all by themselves. If every indivudual do what he/she is really good at, a team will achieve what an individual might not,
In the second place, when we work as a team, we could help each other and learn more from each other. When I was in collage, I liked participating in the course team project, since in that way I learned a lot from my classsmates and the skills are quiet usefull. I improved much more rapidly that I did when I work individually. Working as a team, every member of the team improve a lot. Thus they could have better and better performance as a team. And, sometimes, the competition in a team could motivate each member excel the others. As long as the competition is healthy, it is good for everyone.
Adimitedly, there might be some problems about woking on a team. People might not accomplish their work on time and reply on the other people. If one of them do not meet the standard, it will disencourage other people on the team, resulting in low efficientness and effectiveness. We should pay more attention to the likely aspects and the team leader should be resposible for controling the quality.
In sum, considering the aforementioned reasons I support the statement that woking as a team is much more important than working independently.
