education is an eternal issue and new topic concerned it comes up everyday. nowadays people are arguing that how to encourage students to do better. some people say that parents should give school-age children money for high grade they get in school. i totally disagree with the idea for following reasons students are not employees that they study for improving themselves and preparing for the future life. they do not earn money for a living from high grade. money is not an appropriate encouragement here that can only bring unexpected consequences. for example, some students may choose to cheat in exams in order to get money from their parents. it will definitely do harm to the students because they do not focus on their study but depend on short cuts. and the parents who find out the truth, which can never be covered, will to totally disappointed that they can be hardly to trust the children again as well as heart-broken. nonetheless, high grades worth pride without doubt. parents can always have better choices to make their children feel proud of their hard work and the achievement they get instead of giving money. take me as an example, when i was in high school, i felt difficult to earn good scores. my parents never give up hope on me and told me everyday that "you are the best, you can do it , believe in yourself". and they promised that the whole family would go to YUNNAN for a vacation if i got As on my final exams. i was inspired by the trip and did my best. finally, i earned myself the great trip ever. another important reason that parents should not give money to children for high grades is that the school-age children are not mature enough to find a right way to deal with money. in one hand , they are too young to resist the seduction of money. in the other, give money to them may also mislead them that they study for money. grade is one of but not the only standard to evaluate students' performance in school. even if they do not top their class, many other factors must the parents take into account for judging a students. being friendly to every body, the willingness to help classmates, making progress on some subject, they are all essential elements building a good students. parents should encourage their children for being a decent and noble person as well.
