After all, the lasting value is created by artist not the critic. Whereas, the critic has a significant means to the artist. We cannot simply deny their work which is a link for the field of arts.
Artist is the people who convey the thought to the public base on the vision and hearing. If we say the scientist promote the physical world forward, well the artist is the people who promote the mental world progress. Their work may be defined as a way of amusement. Actually, such amusement cannot be equated with the shallow entertainment which the main target is to relax. The art on the other hand is called an elegant amusement which the main point aims to raise the level of people’s spirit and give the value to the public. Trough the painting "father", Chinese people realize the factual image of an ordinary peasant arousing their respect to the people who are live in the bottom level of the society. Artist evoking the previous experience of the public let people reconsider their own value system.
For an artist, the critic is just like a bridge connects the art and the populace. Without any indication, people are hard to have a deep realization of the art-work. In the meantime, the work of artist is lack an access to the market. Without recommendation of the critic, the painting "father" had no chance to exhibit in front of the public. Trough the comment of the critic, people avoid being bewildered by the art-work. The analysis of the critic elucidate the fact that art-work is not just a visual or arduous enjoy but represent a kind of value and the artist’s ideal.
The relationship between the artist and critic is just like a tree and the leaves. Without leaves, although we can still differentiate the tree with other object, however it's hard for us to judge the category. When the summer is coming, the leaves grow on the trees, people is easy to figure out what kind of tree it is. The critic is just like leaves, uncovering the mysterious mask of the art-work exposing the actual appearance to the people.
In the final analyze, it's the work of artist who convey the value to the public. However without the effort of the critic, the value will be failed to transmit in the midway.
