Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: If you need to discuss upsetting or controversial problems with others, using e-mail or text messaging is better than using telephone or voice-messaging.Nowadays, with the society becoming more and more complex, various tough problems have arisen. In order to solve the problems, we need to discuss such upsetting questions with others. But, the way of talking about it has brought about heated discussions. Should we talk about these controversial problems using e-mails or text messaging or using telephone or voice-messaging? From my point of view,  e-mails and text messaging are  better choices.On one hand,  it gives the others more time to consider the problem from all aspects, which is beneficial to solve the trouble.  The controversial problems are always hard to handle, and require all-round analysis. Text messages and e-mails allow more time. It is the extra time that assures the others to research into the problems more deeply and think over it so as to give a suitable answer. Take me for an example,  I am a student in medicine, I often ask my tutor some academic problems by e-mail. These problem are difficult at first glance ever for my instructor.  I email him so that he can have the time to read more literature to answer them.  Besides, whenever I have problems about my life such as my troubles with my girlfriend, I text him for he is 20 years older and have much more experiences in that respect. Without consideration, he may not be able to give me so good suggestions.  Every time he comes up with some excellent strategies for me, we seem to communicate in text-messages or e-mails.  In contrast, I asked help in the field once by telephone, but he was at a conference, it was inconvenient to talk about it.  You see,  time is an important thing in solving the problems.On the other hand,  it avoids some conflicts and awkward feelings.  Sometimes, the others are not at ease to talk about upsetting problems. What the others talk to you directly may be not that objective, because other people may try not to hurt you and offer mild advises. But in e-mails, the others are not directly talking to you, they may say something subjective. For example, my friend Jeremy once wanted to borrow money from me,  he sent me a voice-message and it was really difficult to say no, I had to lend him the money even I didn't have to much extra money, either. But I turned him down the second time, when he texted me.  I felt not that uncomfortable to refuse him the second time because we only communicated with words instead of sound.Though  voice-messaging or telephone do have some advantages of time-saving and convenience, the disadvantages of lack of time to consider the unsolved problems and results of uncomfortable feelings are more obvious. In conclusion, I strongly recommend that we should send text-messages or e-mails when discussing tough or controversial problems with others.
