generally speaking, we need to cooperate with others in most situations of our lives. and of course, there are much more discussion than we work alone. moreover, some upsetting and controversial problems would take up most of our time. thus, it is important to have a efficient method of discussion. perhaps we usually talk with others face to face, by phone, email, text messages or voicemessaging. sometimes a good method of discussion will make the work easier to do. and that depend on  what kind of problem you need to solve.
but what is upsetting and controversial problems? in my own perspective, these problems are usually the ones that people always have different opinions and easy to generate quarrels. therefore, people in the discussion will get mad, quarrel with each other. what is more, they usually take a very long time. for example, a problems in a project which i am doing always take days or even weeks to discuss and solve. and we three often quarreling because of the contradictory vision. so it is better to talk face to face to solve this kind of problems. since telephones or e-mails cannot do a very long conversation.however, talking face to face is sometimes not very logical. but emails have this advantage. so doing a conclusion, communicate with a professor, or transmitting some papers, using email maybe the best choice. as for the text messages, it is better to discuss something that is not very important such as dating time. just as me, i usually text messages with my classmates to decide when will we meet.
but for the upsetting and controversial problems that have pointed above in the title, discussing face to face is a better method. Or we can choose telephone or voice-messaging, anything that an reach the goal of face-to-face talking will be OK.
